About Skyshade
Recognizing the transformative potential of natural light, we established a dedicated Daylighting division in 2008. This marked the beginning of a relentless pursuit of innovation. We pioneered ground-breaking products like the Lightpipe system, which revolutionized how sunlight is channeled and distributed within buildings. This focus on daylighting solutions fueled the creation of our in-house R&D facility in 2012. Here, a team of dedicated professionals continues to push the boundaries of daylighting technology, resulting in a growing portfolio of patented solutions.
However, our story doesn’t end with daylighting. Fast forward to 2020. Recognizing the crucial role building facades play in modern architecture, Skyshade embarked on a new chapter. We leveraged our combined expertise in light management, materials, and engineering to develop innovative building facades. These systems seamlessly integrate with modern architectural visions, maximizing natural light penetration while concurrently ensuring exceptional energy efficiency and long-term performance.

About Founder & MD
Mr. Sekhar Nori, the Visionary Behind Skyshade
A Legacy of Innovation in Daylighting
Hailing from Vijayawada, Mr. Nori’s academic brilliance shone through his schooling and his mechanical engineering degree from JNTU Kakinada. With a deep belief that knowledge finds its true purpose in application, he aspired to make a difference, whether through civil service or independent entrepreneurship. Drawn to the freedom of self-expression, he even cleared the civil service interview in his first attempt. However, realizing the potential constraints, he boldly charted his own path– one built on using technology to create impactful change.
This drive led him to found Phoenix Solar Engineering in 1997, pioneering solar thermal applications in Andhra Pradesh. Always ahead of the curve, he worked on solar drying and distillation even in the face of less-than-favorable industry conditions. Two key factors prompted a shift: the high cost of solar equipment at the time and the industry’s heavy reliance on government policy.
Daylighting became Mr. Nori’s new focus in 2001. In a time when the concept was virtually unheard of in India, he brought skylights to the building industry, quickly making his mark with large-scale, beautifully designed installations. Yet, he envisioned even greater potential for natural light.
This sparked the birth of the LIGHTPIPE in 2009 – India’s first, channeling daylight to where it was most needed. The innovation was met with industry-wide enthusiasm.Mr. Nori’s entrepreneurial journey also saw the introduction of tensile structures in India in 1996, revolutionizing structural engineering possibilities. Skyshade Daylights was born from the success of LIGHTPIPES and tensile structures, solidifying his dedication to these technologies. He broke ground again in 2014-15 with India’s first double-glazed skylight, and in 2012-13, established the Daylighting Lab, underscoring his commitment to ongoing research and development.
Mr. Nori’s collaborations with the likes of Australian physicist Mr. Edmonds on laser-cut daylighting panels further exemplify his innovative spirit. His development of a hybrid lighting product seamlessly integrating daylight, electrical lighting, and a controller stands as a testament to his passion for energy efficiency. These achievements underscore Skyshade’s commitment to shaping the future of daylighting and shading solutions.
Mrs. Anantha Nori
Ensuring excellence and innovation at Skyshade
Mrs. Anantha Nori, our esteemed Technical Director at Skyshade, who brings over 15 years of rich experience in daylighting and shading technology. Her expertise spans across conceptualization, design, and implementation of advanced daylighting and shading projects. Since joining Skyshade Daylights in October 2008, she has played a pivotal role in steering the company’s technical direction. She oversees the design and implementation of projects, ensuring excellence and innovation at every stage. Anantha is instrumental in defining the processes and procedures within our Sales, Design, and Manufacturing departments, significantly enhancing our operational efficiency and product quality.
Under her leadership, Skyshade has successfully designed and executed over 40,000 sqm of tensile structure projects. Her pioneering work includes the development of indigenous fabric facade fixing systems for textile facades, a testament to her innovative approach to architectural challenges. Additionally, she has contributed to the development and manufacturing of various indigenous fabric connection systems to steel structures and has been integral in developing cable net systems and the hardware required for their realization.Anantha’s technical acumen and visionary leadership continue to propel Skyshade towards new heights, making us a leader in the industry and a champion of sustainable and innovative architectural solutions.

Mr. Mukesh Shah’s intuitive leadership and vast experience of almost 40 years has not only revolutionized the use of plastics in industries but has also paved the way for sustainable solutions in building design. He founded Shah Polymers in 1986, a trailblazing company in Engineering Plastics. His forward-thinking approach not only propelled Shah Polymers to success but also inspired a new generation of entrepreneurs to prioritize sustainability in their business practices.
With his extensive experience and expertise in Sales & Marketing, he has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of the Indian Automotive Industry by advocating the adoption of plastics over traditional metals.
His strategic collaborations with renowned industry giants such as GE Plastics, Bayer AG, Dupont, BASF, and LG Chemicals had not only elevated the stature of his companies but had also set new benchmarks for innovation and excellence.
Through the establishment of Tuflite Polymers Limited in the year 2005 and the launch of the first “Make in India” Brand TUFLITE, Mr. Mukesh Shah has demonstrated his commitment to quality and ingenuity, positioning his products as industry leaders in India, Africa, and the Middle East. In just a decade, Tuflite emerged as a top brand in India.
Leading the way into the global marketplace as the Director at Skyshade, Mr. Mukesh Shah’s passion for promoting Natural Daylighting in Building Design will undoubtedly drive innovation and sustainability in the global market, solidifying his legacy as a pioneer in the industry.

He embarked on an entrepreneurial venture by establishing Novalite Products LLP in September 2023. This milestone marked a significant transition in his career, allowing him to channel his industry knowledge and passion into creating a company focused on delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in the polycarbonate market.
One of the most notable positions was as General Manager at Palram India, a global leader in polycarbonate and PVC sheets. During his tenure at Palram India, he orchestrated sales operations, devised and executed comprehensive business strategies, nurtured client relationships, and steered the company towards sustainable growth and profitability. Leading teams, negotiating contracts, and spearheading product launches were integral facets of his role.
He was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Tuflite Polymers Limited. Tuflite Polymers Ltd is a distinguished leader in the Indian polycarbonate sheet market. He orchestrated a significant surge in market share and revenue, while also fortifying the brand’s identity within the industry and across geographical territories. His foundational experience in the finance sector has also played a crucial role as a Finance Executive at The World Bank. This role required a deep understanding of financial management and an ability to navigate complex financial landscapes.
In addition to his professional achievements, he is deeply committed to personal growth and continuous learning.
